What we hold, and why.

There are no accounts, no forms and no newsletter on this site. There are also no cookies and no advertising or tracking scripts — nothing follows you here or anywhere else.

If you switch between light and dark, that single preference is saved in your own browser. It never reaches us.

We only hold personal details once you book a rental with us, in person or over Instagram, Facebook or Messenger. Those are:

• your name
• your mobile number
• your email address, if you give one
• your Instagram handle, if you give one
• your complete address
• the piece, the dates and what was paid

We ask for these to prepare and hold the piece, reach you about the booking, and keep the financial record a business is required to keep.

Our host keeps standard server logs — the request, the time, and the IP address it came from — which is how any website is kept running and secure.

We also measure how quickly pages load. Those measurements are anonymous, set no cookies, and are not tied to you.

We use a small number of services, and only for the job named:

• Supabase — stores the booking records and serves the photographs on this site.
• Vercel — hosts the site and keeps the server logs.
• Resend — delivers your booking confirmation.
• Google — runs the fitting booking page. If you book a fitting you are on Google’s own page, under Google’s privacy policy, and what you enter there goes to Google as well as to us.

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for anyone else’s marketing.

These services operate internationally, so your details may be stored on servers outside the Philippines. Wherever they sit, The Smems Studio remains responsible for them and this policy still applies.

Booking records are kept for about 5 years, which covers the rental itself and the financial records that follow it. After that they are deleted or stripped of anything identifying.

You can ask us to delete yours sooner — see below.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete or block it, object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission.

Write to bookings@smemsstudio.com and we will answer within 15 days.

Booking records sit behind a login that only studio staff hold, and the database refuses to hand them to anyone who is not signed in. The public side of this site can read the catalogue and nothing else.

We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian. If a booking is for a minor, the guardian’s consent covers it.
